Welcome to the Incipient Shire of Flintmarsh, a local chapter of an international organization dedicated to the research and recreation of pre-17th century European history called the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA). It is a non-profit, educational organization wherein the members learn from "hands on" participation and conduct classes and/or demonstrations where they teach others what they have learned.

Our shire tentatively covers the area between Ozark, Alabama, Marianna, Florida and Bainbridge, Georgia. The Society in whole is made up of seventeen kingdoms worldwide, which are broken down further into Baronies, Shires, Cantons and Colleges. We are a part of the Kingdom of Meridies, which takes in most of the Southeastern United States.

Our local group meets the last Sunday of every month on a rotating schedule between Dothan, Alabama, Marianna, Florida and Bainebridge, Georgia. These meetings include a brief business meeting, discussions of upcoming events, medieval arts and crafts workshops, a fighter practice and lots of fun! If you are interested in joining the SCA, or just in finding out more about us, please drop in and introduce yourself, or contact our Seneschale for more information.
